I have always had a passion for the myriad life forms on our incredible planet. I was that kid that couldn’t resist checking out every drainage ditch looking for frogs, every log looking for insects, and every library science section, looking for knowledge.
My childhood hero was and is Steve Irwin. His enthusiasm was absolutely contagious. He inspired me to see what an amazing world we have the privilege of living in, and the responsibility we have to take care of it.
I am creating this website to contribute my part to the wonderful world of biology. It is my hope that I will be able to capture even just a little of the passion, enthusiasm, and love for the creatures we share our home with that The Crocodile Hunter did.
This blog will cover a range of subjects including general biology, biodiversity, evolution, paleontology and most importantly conservation. My goal is to inspire you to better appreciate the world of life, its history, and our place in it. Along the way I plan to introduce you to creatures you may have never heard of, convince you to take a second look at ones you have, and see the wonder that surrounds us each day.
I hope that you’ll join me, as we explore life in endless forms most beautiful.
